Creating an Event – Your Go-Live Checklist

Whether you're organizing a multi-day fair or a one-night show, these are the core steps you’ll need to follow in the FrontDoor+ Admin Portal to get your event live and selling tickets.

✅ 1. Create Your Event

Start by entering the basics:
  • Event name
  • Date(s) and time(s)
  • Location
  • Event description and image
This sets up your event shell and gets you ready to add ticket types.

✅ 2. Create Ticket Types

You need at least one ticket type to start selling. You can create:

  • General Admission
  • VIP or Reserved Seating
  • Child, Senior, etc.

Set price, quantity, and sales start/end times for each.

🛠️ 3. (Optional) Customize the Checkout Experience

Make your checkout flow match your goals. You can:

  • Add fine print (terms, refund policy, age restrictions, etc.)
  • Customize the post-purchase call to action (CTA)
  • Add tracking pixels for Facebook, Google, etc.

These features help personalize the buyer experience and improve marketing.

📝 4. (Optional) Add a Checkout Form

Want to collect extra info? Add a checkout form.

You can ask questions:

  • Once per order (e.g., "How did you hear about us?")
  • Per ticket/attendee (e.g., "What’s your child’s name?" or "Shirt size?")

Perfect for merchandise, waivers, team names, and more.

🔍 5. Review and Publish

Once everything looks good:Go to the

  • Review & Publish screen
  • Double-check your event details, ticket types, and checkout settings
  • Click Publish to make your event live!

This adds your event to:

  • Your event’s unique ticket page

You’re officially live and ready to sell!

📣 6. Promote Your Event

Head to the Promote tab to grab:

  • Ticket page link
  • QR codes
  • Tracking Links for attributing clicks and sales to a source

Start spreading the word!

  • When posting on social media, include the link to purchase tickets
