Hi there and welcome!

Thank you for joining us to help out at the gates or doors of your event.  This guide will help you get up-to-speed quickly on how our Ticket Scanner App works.  Let's dive in and get you comfortable with the tech.

It’s easier than you think, and you’re going to have a blast!

SCANNING TICKETS

Our Ticket Scanning App was built from the ground up to make it easy to scan tickets.  Unique QR Codes will be presented as either: a phone wallet ticket, directly from email, or printed on paper.

Downloading the FrontDoor+ | Guest Check-in App:
  • Open the FrontDoor+ | Guest Check-in App once downloaded or on the pre-provided device.
  • Enter the PIN from your event organizer.  If the device is already logged in, you can skip this step.

Main Menu
After logging in, you will see two main buttons.

  • Scan Ticket
  • Guest List
These buttons cover everything you need to check guests in.

Scanning Tickets
  • Tap Scan Ticket on the main menu.
  • Hold the camera over the QR code until it auto-scans.
    • QR codes can appear on paper tickets, emails, or phone digital wallets.
  • Check the result screen:
    • Green Checkmark:  Ticket is valid.  You'll see the attendee's name and can tap "View More Tickets" to see other tickets purchased.
    • Red X: The ticket could not be checked in.  The reason (e.g., "Already Scanned" or "Invalid Ticket") will appear on the screen.
  • Undo or Finish:  If you scanned the wrong ticket, tap Undo.  Otherwise, tap Finish.

Guest List Lookup
  • Tap Guest List on the main menu.
  • Search by the attendee's Name or Email Address.
  • Select the correct guest to display their tickets.
  • Tap the ticket you need to check in.  It will mark the ticket a scanned.
This option is handy if:
  • The QR code doesn't scan.
  • The attendee can't find their ticket.

Tips
  1. Stay Calm and Scan On:  If you hit a snag, relax.  The app is user-friendly and will guide you on what to do next.
  2. Battery Basics:  Turn off the phone screen when not in use to save battery.
  3. Full Charge:  If you're using your own phone, start with a full battery and bring a charger or battery pack.
  4. Practice Makes Perfect:  If you have spare time before the event, practice scanning test tickets.  It helps you feel confident once the doors open.  Test tickets are available from your event organizer.
  5. Have Fun:  Events are about enjoyment.  Smile, engage with attendees, and make the check-in process part of the positive experience.
